For the record, I'm excited and thinking positively about Spirit Tracks, or as positive as I can about something using the same controls as Phantom Hourglass. That's another discussion, however.
The idea of sword-carrying horse-riding hero to still sword-carrying-but-choo-choo-ridin' conductor seems like a step down in the fantasy realm. I like steampunk, and the outfit looks good enough, but it'd only work for the Toon Link. He's a child, so he takes little seriously.
The older Link, I feel, wouldn't be so enthusiastic. I felt he'd see it a step down from Epona, among other things, and so I wanted to put a displeased spin on his iconic pose.
I know the train is steam-powered, I just thought it'd be a bit more fun to replace his sword and shield with a shovel and sack of coal. It was funny in my head, at least. And because I'm lazy, another shape background. Now with trains! >.>
If I color this, I'll move the pencils to scraps. If you'd like to color it, all I ask is you give credit where credit is due and link me to the results. I'd love to see you salvage a win from my pencils' FAIL.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
