So, I colored it. I'll just comment on the colors this time. Overall, I think I did better than last time. To clean up the pencils, I extended Link's short arm and trimmed away some unneeded lines.
To dirty it, well, I threw a lot of soot on Link. Hmm... yep. I think this turned out okay. It's a boring pose, though, so it's infinitely easier than other things I've tried to do.
Again, yes, I know the actual train is powered by steam. That's not nearly as fun, though. Also, yes, I know he came out looking like the trash man.
Hah this made me laugh. Nice idea. And the background looks very nice, I low how you've done it just small. It creates a scene without being overwhelming.
Yeah, the idea was more to be lazy and find a way to make it interesting. So I went with a simple, bright background to contrast with the slightly darker (and certainly dirtier), more detailed foreground.
The choochoo was gratuitous icing on the cake, but it had to be there.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

You can't hide of rooftops from raindrops;
So spread your wings and suck it up.
I just think having to shovel fuel's funnier than moving a lever around, so I didn't go with steam.
But yeah, thanks.
Cheers.
